OVERVIEW:
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the candidate would be responsible for the following areas:
Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Human Resources, Risk Management, Consumer Finance, Audit, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Analysis. In addition, the CFO is expected to build and have ongoing relationships with outside financing and banking institutions for capital funds and investments.
Direct Report: 15+ Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managers. Dotted lines: 10 mid-management members.
Reports directly to the CEO & the Board of Directors.
EXPECTATIONS:
The CFO is the key figure to execute the plans and strategy of the CEO relating to all Financial related matters including fiduciary responsibility, cost control & recovery, profitability analysis, board reporting, risk management, governmental compliance, financial controls, budget strategy, corporate investments, audit integrity and financial reporting.
As the go-to individual at the C-level, the CFO must have at least 20+ years of successful combined experience and track record in the fields of FinTech, Manufacturing, Retail, Investment banking, Public Accounting, Health Care and/or hospitality.
The CFO is expected to have professional working relationships with all executives, directors, managers, and other internal/external stakeholders.
DUTIES & CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The right candidate must have solid experience, proven and successful track record in the following duties:
- Expected to successfully manage all aspects of the accounting including AP, AR, Payroll, Treasury, Financial and business planning analysis, audit committee, etc.
- Development of operational budget, capital expenditure plan, performance metrics, business strategies and financial projections that all department directors would support and execute
- Ultimately Responsible for all cash management, capital fundraising and banking relationships
- Enhancement of accounting processes and control to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Negotiate deals relating to costs, inventory, expansion, and capital funds
- Work side-by-side with the CEO and the rest of the executive committee to develop corporate strategies and realistic revenue and sales projections
- Responsible for all financial due diligence, research, and executions by offering concrete and sound recommendations that the executive committee senior management can rely on
- Come up with creative solutions in alleviating issues whether it relates to finance, supply chain, human resources, accounting, or operations
- As a key figure in the company, the CFO is expected to lead all senior management on corporate development, succession planning and corporate expansion initiatives
- Present audited Financial Statements to the Board of directors, executive committee, and senior management
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES:
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, efficient, accurate, and exceptionally analytical
- Must possess in depth understanding of US GAAP, accounting operations, and other technical accounting rules and requirements
- Must exude confidence, strong leadership influence and high emotional intelligence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required since the role would be collaborating with various directors, senior managers, accounting staff, audit committees, and other senior executives of the Company.
- Experiential Public Accounting foundation is a must
- Professional affiliation and other external association would be ideal
- Advance degree such as MBA, master’s in accounting or Finance is preferred
- CPA Certification is preferred, but not required.
SALARY RANGE:
Based salary would be $170,000 – $200,000 plus executive benefits and other Incentives
