OVERVIEW:
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the candidate would be responsible for the following areas:
Administration, customer service, human resources, information technology, procurement, cyber security, supply chain, warehouse, and safety & security
Direct Report: 10+ Directors and Managers. Dotted lines: 10 staff and analysts.
Reports directly to the CEO
EXPECTATIONS:
The COO is the key figure to execute the plans and strategy of the CEO with regards to operations and administration related matters including protection of physical assets, cost control & recovery, process improvements, product development, staff talent development, risk management, city, state & federal compliance, budget implementation & strategy, human capital investments & development, implement cyber security protocols, customer service and warehouse management.
As the go-to individual at the C-level, the COO must have at least 20+ years of successful combined experience and track record in the fields of Engineering, FinTech, Manufacturing, Retail, Health Care operations and/or hospitality.
The COO is expected to have professional working relationships with all executives, directors, managers, and other internal/external stakeholders.
DUTIES & CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The right candidate must have solid experience, proven and successful track record in the following duties:
- Expected to successfully manage all aspects of data flow, information technology, property & equipment, asset protection, project management, supply chain & warehousing, human resources, cyber security, etc.
- Development of operational budget, product development, employee retention, performance metrics, business strategies and SOP materials and documentation that all department directors would support and execute
- Enhancement of operation processes and control by streamlining workflow and providing the necessary equipment & tools to execute plans and strategies
- Negotiate deals relating to costs, inventory, expansion, and capital funds
- Work side-by-side with the CEO and the rest of the executive committee to develop operational strategies, measurable metrics and realistic, but ambitious KPIs
- Responsible for all city, state & federal due diligence, research, executions and compliance by spearheading committees and executive planning staff
- Come up with creative solutions in alleviating issues whether it relates to operations, supply chain, human retention and development, warehousing, and asset management and protection
- As a key figure in the company, the CEO is expected to lead all senior management on corporate development, succession planning and corporate expansion initiatives
- Must be the leading person to present improvement plans to the CEO to maintain the company’s competitive advantage and strategies
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES:
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, efficient, accurate, and exceptionally analytical
- Must possess in depth understanding of engineering, information technology, operations, and supply chain
- Must exude confidence, strong leadership influence and high emotional intelligence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required since the role would be collaborating with various directors, senior managers, accounting staff, audit committees, and other senior executives of the Company.
- Experiential engineering, technology or operational foundation is a must
- Professional affiliation and other external association would be ideal
- Advance degree such as MBA, master’s in accounting or Finance is preferred but not required
SALARY RANGE:
Based salary would be $150,000 and $200,000 plus executive benefits and other Incentives
